Azman Jaafar, RHTLaw Taylor Wessing Deputy Managing Partner and Head of Corporate practice, shared his expertise at the sixth annual AVPN Conference, a unique funders’ network based in Singapore committed to building philanthropy and social investment community across Asia

Azman Jaafar, Deputy Managing Partner, spoke at the sixth annual AVPN Conference in the panel discussion “The Power of the Arts to Strengthen Communities, Create Sustainable Livelihoods and Drive Social Change”. The discussion focused on the significance of the Arts in community development, and how we can create an ecosystem for funding the arts in Asia. As a board member of the National Arts Council and the son of the renowed artist Jaafar Latiff, Azman brought a unique view of the local art community in Singapore to the discussion.

Azman spoke alongside Charlotte Nors, the Managing Director of the Singapore Repertory, Mercedes Lopez-Vargas, the President & Executive Director of the Lopez Group Foundation, and Glen Mehn, the Head of Development Innovation at Nesta. The conference is organized by the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, the leading Pan-Asia philanthropy and social investment network in Asia, to bring together a diverse group of funders from around the globe to take part in the largest gathering of social investors in Asia.
