Appointment of Partner Marshall Lim

Let us welcome Marshall Lim, who has joined the firm as a Partner in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.

Marshall is an experienced criminal lawyer who served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and Deputy Senior State Counsel with the Attorney-General’s Chambers. He has led and prosecuted a wide range of criminal and regulatory offences in trial and appellate matters in the State and High Courts of Singapore. He also regularly engaged with governmental stakeholders including ministries, statutory boards, and enforcement agencies to provide legal advice on policy and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining RHTLaw Asia, Marshall was Director and Head of Criminal Practice at a specialist criminal law firm. Marshall is also a guest trainer for the SAF Defending Officer’s Course and SAF Advanced Defending Officer’s Course, as well as a faculty member for the Criminal Litigation Practice module of the Preparatory Course Leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations. He also regularly delivers legal talks organised by the Law Society Pro Bono Services and holds an appointment to the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) Pro Bono Panel, where he represents servicemen charged in military court.

In 2016, Marshall was awarded the Legal Service Commission Postgraduate Scholarship in Law, after which he pursued postgraduate studies at Columbia Law School in New York, where he graduated with a Master of Laws with a recognition as a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar as a testament to his academic performance.
